第2回　人間福祉学会2001　大会スケジュール

開催趣旨

今回の国際シンポジウムのテーマは、『人間福祉と死生学』～死の看取りをめぐって～　です。今、なぜこのテーマなのか。今日わが国の社会福祉の歩みをかえり見るとき、今その歩みは一つの大きな転機に直面しています。例えば、わが国の高齢社会への急速な移行にたいして、政府の取るべき責任の大きさは当然のことながら、福祉従事者にも重大な課題があたえられています。それは彼らが、あくまでもケアを必要としている人々の側に立つこと、またそれらの方々の痛みや悲しみを共感すること、とりわけそれらの方々が迎える死に就いて暖かな、そして深い理解が求められていることです。そしてそのことは、具体的な『死の看取りの』ワークにつながります。また告知の問題、ターミナルケア、ホスピスの現場の課題にもつながります。あくまでも,深い人間理解を前提とする人間福祉学会はこれらの問題を避けることは出来ないと考えるのです。
学会員をはじめ関心のある方々に参集いただき、学びの時と交わりの時を持ちたいと思いますのでご参加くださるようご案内いたします。

The theme of the international symposium of the Japan Society of Human Well-Being that will be held on December 2, 2001 is "Human Well-Being and Thanatology. - The Care of Dying
Now, why is it this theme? When we think about the history of social welfare in Japan, we recognize that it faces one big turning point today. For example, Japan has changed rapidly into the aged society, so it is natural that the government should take crucial responsibility. Moreover, workers engaged in the welfare fields are required to solve serious tasks, too. One of the tasks is that we should stand at the side of the people who needs care. Then we should sympathize their pains and sorrows. Especially, warmth and deep understanding are asked for at the deathbed. We can stay with them at their death bed considering the peace of their spirits. Furthermore, we hold practical issues such as notifications of incurable diseases, terminal care, and Hospice.
The members of Japanese Society of Human Well-Being are expected to find ways understanding people who needs care deeply. The significance of these issues were recognized, so that Japan Society of Human Well-Being took "Human Well-Being and Thanatology" as a theme of this symposium.
